Transportation Engineer/Planner

Job description

The Opportunity: 1 Permanent Full-Time Replacement Reporting directly to the Manager, Transportation Engineering, this role is responsible for the delivery of transportation planning projects including master plans and transportation studies in support of the Town’s Official Plan and secondary plans. You will also lead and manage Municipal Class Environmental Assessments (EAs), feasibility studies, and preliminary designs for transportation infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for reviewing third-party transportation plans and studies to ensure alignment with Town policies, standards, and future growth needs. As the Transportation Engineer/Planner, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to: - Lead and project manage transportation master plans, environmental assessments, feasibility studies, and operational analysis - Plan, organize, and facilitate public consultation and engagement activities including public information centres (PICs) - Provide input and guidance on long-range planning initiatives such as the Official Plan, secondary plans, and development applications - Review transportation-related studies and technical reports from develop...
