Overview TELECOMMUNICATIONS MECHANIC (PSTS-2026-25069): Bowhead seeks a Telecommunications Mechanic for a newly awarded contract effort to provide Base Telecom Support at the Puget Sound, WA Shipyard and satellite locations. The effort will provide telecommunications operations and maintenance (O&M). This includes secure and reliable, classified and unclassified, voice and data services in support of Command, Control, Computer, Communications and Information (C4I) operations and exercises. Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair outside telecommunications infrastructure, including: Perform: Conduct: Collaborate with engineers, ISP technicians, and site leadership for infrastructure upgrades and repairs. - Underground and aerial copper/fiber cabling - Backbone and distribution systems - Conduits, vaults, ducts, and pedestals - Fiber and copper splicing (fusion and mechanical) - OTDR and power meter testing - Fault isolation and emergency restoration - Termination of cables in manholes, handholes, and wiring closets - Routine inspections and preventive maintenance - Documentation of cabling routes, splicing records, and test results - Safety hazard assessments for all work zo...
