Job description
Context The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works worldwide to provide humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence. It responds to emergencies and longer-term humanitarian needs while promoting respect for international humanitarian law. An independent and neutral organization, its mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. The ICRC works closely with National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and their International Federation to ensure a concerted, rational and rapid humanitarian response to the needs of victims of armed conflict or any other situation of internal violence. The Resource Mobilization Division (REM) is responsible for mobilizing financial resources from governments, private sector partners, multilateral & bilateral institutions and individual donors to support the ICRC's global humanitarian operations. REM is organized around four pillars: Public Sector fundraising, Private Fundraising, Fundraising Services, and a cross-cutting Support Unit.
