Job description
Performs diagnostic Ultrasound examinations to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician under the direction of a Radiologist. Performs abdominal, retroperitoneal, OB/GYN, small part scans, vascular studies, and ultrasound guided procedures, such as cyst aspirations, breast biopsies, needle or breast seed localizations, and abscess drainages. Must be able to recognize the difference between normal and abnormal images. Work Schedule: Casual; per diem as needed with call rotation Required Qualifications: Ability to accurately operate and maintain the imaging equipment and recognize the difference between normal and abnormal images - Completion of an accredited two year allied health program or two years of college with emphasis on the biological sciences and completion of a formal medical Sonography training program (one-year minimum) or equivalent experience - RDMS(Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) via ARDMS(American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) - Registered Vascular Technologist/Vascular Technology (RVT/VT) Certification within 180 days of employment via ARDMS or RVS (Registered Vascula...
