Job description

Position Description Under occasional supervision, the Building Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of all Atlantic Union Bank-owned and leased facilities. The role works in close coordination with a designated Facilities Coordinator and Regional Facilities Specialist to ensure service requests, preventative maintenance, and vendor activities are executed efficiently. This position supports day-to-day facilities operations, vendor management, and minor construction projects while maintaining safe, reliable, and compliant building systems. Position Accountabilities: - Responds to maintenance requests and service calls, assessing issues either remotely or on-site and determining the appropriate corrective action. Coordinates closely with the designated Facilities Coordinator and consults with the Regional Facilities Specialist on non-routine or unusual situations. - Performs general building maintenance and repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry work.
