OH0713 NW Bancshares HQ Job Description: Overview: The Sr Direct Endorsement Residential Underwriter is responsible to perform residential loan underwriting activities related to loan request with the goal of achieving the optimal outcome for Northwest and the customer. Essential Functions: Communicate with customers, realtors, title companies, attorneys, and settlement agents to schedule closings, respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and obtain any documentation required to complete the loan file Interact with Mortgage Loan Originators, Loan Production Assistants and other team members on a daily basis to resolve questions/issues, and ensure timely underwriting of loan files Manage a pipeline of working loan files to ensure loans are underwritten in a timely manner Maintain current knowledge of mortgage loan programs, procedures, and guidelines Use Northwest’s loan origination systems and agency automated underwriting systems (Freddie Mac – Loan Product Advisor, USDA Guaranteed Underwriting System) to underwrite residential mortgage loans Review and analyze documentation submitted and used in underwriting decisions for accuracy and completeness Ensure data relating to the underwr...
