Full Time (72 Hours Biweekly) Night Shift: 3 12 hour shifts per week 1845-0715 Every 3rd weekend: Every 3rd major and minor holiday General Summary: Provides nursing care to patients at an advanced level of practice. Takes patient vital signs, assists with procedures/examinations, administers medications, assists patient with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, etc.) and instructs patients and their families in appropriate care. Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: - Under appropriate supervision, administers and controls narcotics and medications. - Provides general nursing care and personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, eating, changing bed linens and bed pans and positioning. - Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital standards. - Helps patients get into and out of chairs, lifts patients, raises patients in beds, and turns the patients. - Checks patient's vital signs. - Charts results of various tests. - Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel. - Prepares patients for scheduled procedures to assist in patient assessment...
