Under the direction of the Chef, assists in preparation and cooking of foods for patients, café, and special functions. RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares and cooks food items according to tally sheets and café menu. Prepares food items utilizing standardized recipes. Sets up hot foods on patient tray line. Records temperature of food items on log sheet. Assists in preparation of functions, as needed. Keeps café stocked with hot food items. Wears appropriate clean uniform, head covering, and identification. Breaks down café and patient line. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of cooking equipment and work area. Completes Cook’s checklist. Educated on patient’s Population Specific preferences. Educated and performs excellent customer services. Performs related duties as required and assigned. May be required to perform similar or related duties as may be necessary on an emergency, temporary or limited basis as assigned.
