Quality Engineer 1

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities: - In conjunction with more senior engineers, plans, develops and implements techniques and programs to ensure that quality levels are maintained in accordance with the organization’s quality standards. - Collaborates to establish specifications, controls and quality metrics, including participation in reviewing and/or creating PFMEA and Control Plans. Monitor, identify, fill-gaps as well as develop various controls to improve process and product quality. - Monitor various data sources to identify, contain and lead resolution to process and product quality issues. - Administer Material Alerts to track identified field and zero-mile issues. - Coordinate activities to implement countermeasures and track effectiveness. - Coordinates product testing and teardown with quality testing technicians and develop resulting summary reports to management, customers and/or other stakeholders. - Research, plan, develop and implement continuous improvement (Kaizen) programs. - Visits the customer to resolve quality concerns and sort questionable product to ensure quality standards are met. - Investigates the root cause of quality defects at the customer and those that ar...
