Full Time (80 Hours Biweekly) Shift: Day - Monday through Friday (8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and/or 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.) On-call requirement to cover week-end and week day overnight - must be able to report to work within 45 minutes. Short Stay Unit: The goal of the Short Stay Unit (SSU) is to provide compassionate and professional nursing care as day of surgery preparation for patients and families undergoing surgical procedures in the general operating room, interventional radiology, cardiac/thoracic surgery, and endoscopy procedures. SSU prepares patients pre-procedurally for surgery in the operating room, endoscopy procedures, or for invasive procedures in IR, and CT. Post-procedurally the nursing staff provides Phase II recovery care for IR, CT and endoscopy patients. Hours of operation are routinely 0545-1930 Monday through Friday. General Summary: Acts as a receptionist for visitors and serves as a central contact for telephone calls and a distribution point for paper and electronic communication, laboratory and test results.
