We anticipate the need for one or more Apprentice Plant Attendant(s) at the Bayfront Steam Plant located in Ashland, WI. The minimum starting (Step 1 – 60%) rate of pay for this position is $26.87 (2025 rate) hourly. The base Journeyman's pay rate is $44.79 hourly (2025 rate). This position will be posted for 15 working days from April 8, 2026, to April 28, 2026. The hourly pay for the position is as follows depending on who our top candidate(s) are: 1st Step: 60% 2nd Step: 65% 3rd Step: 70% 4th Step: 75% 5th Step: 80% 6th Step: 85% 7th Step: 90% 8th Step: 95% Summary: Assists in the operation of boilers and associated equipment. Performs duties in all plant departments as required and directed. Able to gain the necessary knowledge and skills through worksite and formal training for upgrading to higher operating responsibilities.
