Job description

Purpose of the Position: The Residence Director (RD) is responsible for the programming and administrative management of a co-educational residential community ranging in size from 229 to 416 residents. This position has on-call responsibilities and answers to emergency situations. Duties/Responsibilities: Supervision & Student Development: - Supervise Resident Assistant team to include the communication of expectations, administer accountability measures, and provide on-going professional development - Assist the Assistant Director of residence Life in the recruitment, selection, and training of student staff - Conduct meetings on an as needed basis with community student leaders to guide necessary professional, social, and personal development - Advise a community council - Review cases of student misconduct and determine fair consequences at the discretion of the Dean of Students office.
