APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE. Part-Time Lecturer positions are available in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Cal Poly, during the 2026-27 academic year. Part-time appointments are made from a pool of approved applicants, as determined by need, and contingent on funding. Responsibilities include teaching biomedical engineering courses. Candidates with extensive industry experience are encouraged to apply. Applicants from industry or universities interested in visiting positions are encouraged to apply. Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank.
