Job Description: Deputy Sports Editor The Wall Street Journal is seeking an editor to help shepherd our Sports coverage. You’ll edit must-read stories about the most dynamic people and institutions in sports. This job will help guide the Journal’s distinctive sports coverage, which has an authoritative voice, that breaks news, tells impactful stories and reacts quickly, taking a unique perspective on some of the world’s most popular events. WSJ Sports specializes in unexpected stories that speak to both hard-core fans and readers who don’t think of themselves as sports nuts. We are looking for an editor who can find new ways of looking at sports, whether it be for the casual fan or the diehard loyalists. Candidates should be experienced editors comfortable juggling breaking news on big games with quick-turnaround deadlines, as well as deeper enterprise reporting on the major issues animating sports fans all over the world.
