Classification Title: AST/ASO/FULL PROF Classification Minimum Requirements: MD/DO or equivalent degree from accredited institution. Board Certified or Board Eligibility in cardiothoracic surgery. Eligible for or active Florida Medical License. Job Description: The Department of Surgery and the Heart and Vascular Center at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville (UF COM-J), is seeking to hire a Cardiothoracic Surgeon. The successful candidate will receive an appointment at the tenure or non-tenure accruing level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor ranks. The successful candidate will preferably have a minimum of 5 years of experience and be able to perform all aspects of advanced/complex adult cardiac and thoracic surgery. The successful candidate should be proficient in coronary artery bypass, valve surgery (open and minimally invasive), arrhythmia surgery, thoracic aortic surgery, thoracoscopic and robotic lung resection and mediastinal surgery.
