Job description

Overview Provides personal care; guides, encourages and assists elders with activities of daily living. Shahbaz must have a genuine interest in caring for elders and be committed to the Green House core values (Meaningful Life, Empowered Staff, Real Home). Responsibilities: - The primary role of the Shahbaz is to protect, sustain, and nurture the elders by providing assistance with activities of daily living and meeting other needs as required. This will include assisting elders to the bathroom and with incontinence care, bathing, dressing/undressing, life enrichment and maintaining independence. - Provide care to the elders in a gentle, empathetic, efficient, and timely manner. Treat each elder, regardless of circumstances, with consideration, dignity, and respect at all times. Be familiar with each elder’s needs, preferences, and desired approach. - Assure that call device is being worn or within reach of the elder and answered promptly. - Provide care of the elder and the elder’s environment, including cooking, laundry and housekeeping. - Recognize/respond to the needs of elders while encouraging independence. - Administer medications/treatments as prescribed by physician. - App...
