Job description

At NorthBay Health the Cook works under the management and supervision of the Nutrition Services Supervisors and Manager. Maintains state and federal mandated standards of safety and cleanliness while performing tasks that include but are not limited to: hot food preparation and hot food production, meal distribution within and between the healthcare facilities, sanitation of kitchen facilities and equipment, tray-line meal assembly and production, product inventory and ordering. Participates in departmental activities and in projects and programs. Responsible for inventory and ordering of products as assigned. Education: Experience: Licensure/Certification: Skills: - Demonstrates current knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures. - Maintains excellent communication and interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, employees and management. - Maintains a good record of attendance and punctuality by reporting to work as scheduled, utilizing the Kronos time card system as instructed, and not exceeding departmental limits contained in the policies and procedures. - Follows all hospital and departmental safety policies to prevent injuries and expos...
