Company: Finning (UK) Ltd Number of Openings: 1 Worker Type: Permanent Position Overview: Working within an industry leading organisation at Finning, and the largest CAT dealership in the UK and Ireland, your role as Yard Operative will be to provide a service to all departments within the facility, supporting workshop engineers with servicing and repair duties and carry out machine movements, crane lifts, mobile crane lifts, lift truck movements ensuring all carried are out in a safe manner. Job Description: Major Job Functions - Carry out machine movements on and off transporter vehicles using the most appropriate tools/equipment, that could include slinging, forklift truck, cranage, etc. - Support the engineering team with daily service and repair duties - Record all movement details of all machines and attachments on/off site and ensure that a release document is obtained/completed before the equipment leaves site. - Preliminary assessment of machine condition reporting any damage or missing items through the appropriate channels. - Refuel all machines as required. - Washing Machinery Specific Skills: - General PC Skills - Effective problem-solver - Work autonomously on own ini...
