Job DetailsJob Location: Main Office - Eureka, CA 95503Position Type: Per DiemEducation Level: Nursing degree (ASN or BSN)Salary Range: $44.78 - $54.73 HourlyTravel Percentage: Local driving necessaryJob Shift: On-Call Night ShiftPosition Overview The On-Call Night Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care, both over the phone and in person, to hospice patient's during the evening hours when the office is closed: 1700 to 0900. This position works from home and makes patient visits, as necessary. Please note, the remote work/home location must be within the Hospice of Humboldt service area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides direct nursing care in the patient’s place of residence. Communicates directly with the after-hours answering service. Responds within 10 minutes of a call. Accesses and obtains patient care report from interdisciplinary team members at the beginning of the shift. Assesses and documents in the medical record the physical, psycho-social, and spiritual needs of each patient. Provides home nursing care instructions to patients.
