Job description

The Advanced Practice Nursing Manager is responsible for coordination, and assurance of comprehensive health care using advanced practice nursing process and pertinent standards of care, the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions, performance of diagnostic, therapeutic, corrective and prescriptive measures in collaboration with appropriate specialty and site-based physicians. The APN Manager is responsible for delivering operational leadership to Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) in inpatient and ambulatory setting fostering clinical integration, optimizing workflows and supporting excellence in advanced practice care. The APN Manager supervises and directs a designated group of advanced practice nurses within distinct specialty areas of practice. These APNs may diagnose, treat, and prescribe for a patient’s condition within their specialty area of practice. Specialty areas may include but not limited to: Acute Care; Adult Health; College Health; Community Health; Family Health; Gerontology; Holistic Nursing; Neonatology; Obstetrics and Gynecology; Oncology; Palliative Care; Pediatrics; Perinatology; Psychiatry; School Health; and Women's Health.
