Telemetry Monitoring Tech - League City (Casual Appointment) - ( 2602511 ) Description REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of EMT – Paramedic program or graduation from related allied health sciences program or one (1) year related experience. Passing score of 80% or higher of UTMB’s arrhythmia test. JOB SUMMARY: To provide specialized advanced technical skills in all technical aspects of the telemetry monitoring system. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Admits, transfers, and discharges patient and enters all required information in telemetry monitoring system. Adjusts alarms. o Reviews trends and alarms. Orders monitoring supplies. Performs daily quality checks of freestanding cardio-defibrillators. Uses aseptic techniques and infection control measures in performance of duties. - Operates and troubleshoots all functions of the telemetry monitoring system: - Cleans and maintains telemetry monitors/holders and accounts for monitor upon patient discharge. - Accounts for all monitors at the end of each assigned shift. - Obtains and documents rhythm strips per unit/department standards - Maintains log book on all monitored patients. - Prov...
