Labcorp is seeking a Senior Laboratory Assistant to join our Histology team in Indianapolis, IN . Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm: Job Responsibilities: ¨ Responsible and accountable for successful completion of specific department duties set forth in the task list and/or department training checklist. ¨ Responsible for working with and directing less experienced staff, and prioritizing workload and/or special projects on a daily basis. ¨ Oversees and reviews work of peers. ¨ Oversees training of new employees to ensure completed as scheduled. ¨ Independently coordinates the timely development and completion of training materials, checklists, and competency assessment programs. Seeks and promotes expertise in department and across sites to ensure consistent approach to training. ¨ Serves as an expert in all facets of trained workstations in area of responsibility. Responds to problems or questions of department staff. ¨ Reviews, revises, or writes laboratory SOPs.
