Job Description As a Buyer/Supply Manager you will proactively manage the procurement of high technology or life sciences production materials, aftermarket materials, equipment and/or services from a global supply base in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives. These materials are used in worldwide manufacturing and/or sold in distribution locations with a wide variety of product volumes, manufacturing conditions, and constraints. The primary responsibility of this position is handling the assurance of supply of these materials and balancing inventory with a right supply strategy. The accountability is from product introduction through product obsolescence. This is a hybrid position that will allow remote work Monday and Fridays. Responsibilities: Assurance of Supply and Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with suppliers. Set clear delivery expectations and manage to these expectations. Communicate material forecasting to suppliers. Release orders for material requirements.
