Position Overview: Required to be enrolled in the first semester of an accredited Radiology program - Department : Radiology - Schedule : PRN - Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham What You Will Do: Provide services to patients under the direct supervision. - Prepare and position patients and select exposure factors accurately. - Implement radiation protection and safety standards. - Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures. - Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. - Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. - Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. What You Will Need: Education: - BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. - High school diploma equivalency AND enrolled in an accredited program specific to discipline.
