Job Summary: Performs role of Endoscopy tech with on the job training for general endoscopy procedures being utilized on a daily basis in an inpatient/outpatient setting. Duties as an Endoscopy tech include but are not limited to: coordinating instrumentation and specialized equipment/ supply needs for the procedure, preparing the table, assisting proceduralist at the field during procedure, assisting other procedure room staff as needed as well as being knowledgeable in the high level disinfection process. The position requires working within the standards and guidelines of multiple industry agencies (including, but not limiting to TJC, AAMI, AST, FDA, SGNA). This position requires some on call work.
