Job description

Overview The Weld Shop Associate will safely operate various machines and equipment involved in all areas of production. Will be cross-trained to operate multiple machines in multiple functions. Must be able to perform each of these functions in a safe manner that ensures the production of a quality product in compliance with all quality and production standard operating procedures and requirements. Responsibilities: - Participate in cross-training as necessary to learn to operate production machinery in accordance with specifications. Assigned machines may include welders, grinders, cutters, and similar equipment. - Set up equipment and make adjustments to equipment as necessary to produce quality product and meet established production metrics. - Perform in-process quality checks; visually inspect work done in previous operations before continuing to perform further operations. - Perform basic tests to ensure that all finished product conforms to product specifications. - Immediately stop performing any process that is producing non-conforming product and inform a member of management. - Perform picking, shipping and receiving functions including packing finished products, fillin...
