Job Summary: Under Physician supervision, the Certified Nurse Midwife will provide pre-pregnancy and pregnancy care, labor and delivery, postpartum and gynecological services for the lifespan of women. Must demonstrate the knowledge, critical thinking and skills to plan, coordinate and provide care on a continuing basis. Job Description: Essential Functions: - Performs an exam, obtains complete medical history and records findings. - Order and interpret diagnostic procedures. - Manage women’s healthcare including primary diagnoses, managing prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care. - Prescribes medications and injections in compliance with, their scope of practice, state law, and clinic guidelines. - Instructs patient/family regarding medications and treatments. - Educates patients regarding health and illness prevention. - Collaborates with physicians in managing medical needs of patients. - Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits. - Maintains and reviews patient records and o...
