Job Summary: Assist Operator in production of heat-set web printed materials and maintenance of web presses while continually learning machine operations and printing technique. Duties/Responsibilities: - Read and understand work order verifying correct substrate, bind type, ink color, and run lengths. - Order substrate while considering the needs of the oncoming shift. - Set up stacker and bundler to send adequate and well identified bundles to bindery. - Understand substrate – weights, PPI, size, grain direction, coating, marking and storage - Load correct substrate into the machine while tracking slab-off, waste consumption and return weights. - Learn all phases of the press operation - Ensure bundles conform to bindery needs including proper identification. - Be sure all waste is disposed of properly including printed and blank substrate. - S...
