Job Details Kettering Health Soin | Beavercreek | Full Time| Days Responsibilities & Requirements: Job Requirements: Is thoroughly familiar with all clerical functions in the department. Uses computer systems to obtain and accession requests for laboratory tests and perform other related computer functions. Maintains files of laboratory requests and tests. Answers the telephone and greets patients and visitors. Prepares sample for send out to reference laboratories and processes results when reports are returned. Monitors the activities of the morgue. Collects blood samples by venipuncture and capillary puncture. Instruct the patients in the collection of urine samples and drug screens. Participates in the training and retaining of clerical personnel and supervises clerical personnel when assigned. Minimum Education High school diploma required Minimum Work Experience 5 years’ experience in a laboratory clerical position required Required SkillsAbility to type 40 WPM.Ability to exercise independent judgement.Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions and procedures.Ability to provide verbal info to physicians and patients, tactfully.Ability to perform a...
