Load Shovel Operator Department: Operations: Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Manchester: Description: Load Shovel / Machine Operator – 4on 4off Operational Duties: Machinery & Plant Operation : Be proficient in operating all machinery and plant essential to the business unit, ensuring their safe and efficient use. Key Responsibilities: Safety & Compliance: Work Environment: - Maintain a safe and organized workspace, ensuring walkways and emergency exits are free of obstructions. - Always use the appropriate safety equipment and PPE. Incident Reporting : Immediately report: - Non-conforming wastes or contamination delivered to the site. - Accidents, incidents, near-misses, environmental hazards, and health & safety breaches to the relevant manager. Continuous Improvement: Training : Undertake necessary training to expand capabilities, including the operation of additional machinery or equipment. Audits & Checks : Conduct random checks and audits on machinery under your remit to ensure compliance with operational standards.
