About Redwood Materials Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have. Mechanical Engineering Intern/Co-op: Redwood Materials is seeking an entrepreneurial Mechanical Engineering intern or co-op to support our pilot and commercial scale production operations during the Summer 2026 timeline. Responsibilities Will Include: - Leading and supporting technical design and specification of new mechanical processing equipment and manufacturing facilities. - Conducting high-level technical troubleshooting of equipment and electromechanical systems. - Developing prototypes, research projects, and experiments for new processes. Desired Qualifications: - Pursuing a B.S. or advanced degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline. - Prior engineering internship experience with a leading technology or manufacturing company. - Hands-on experience building products or pro...
