Title Materials Clerk Job Code: Department: Operations: Class: Status: Hourly Non-Exempt: Revision Date: May 7, 2021: Position Summary: The Materials Clerk shall be capable of identifying all incoming raw and finished materials, supplies and equipment, both manufactured in the plant and purchased in the storage areas. The Materials Clerk will be responsible for unloading, receiving, inspecting, and locating all incoming parts. Essential Functions: - Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards. - Take an active role in caring for the equipment to prevent breakdowns and defects and help increase overall equipment efficiency through 5S, TPM (total productive maintenance), and other Lean Manufacturing initiatives directed by the Sedalia site. - The Materials Clerk shall be capable of maintaining stock records in accordance with established control systems as to receipt, issuance, returns, etc. He/she shall be capable of selection and distribution of materials and parts to manufacturing and necessary inventories as directed. - The e...
