GENERAL SUMMARY: Powder coat parts while maintaining quality, safety and productivity requirements. Maintain and clean paint booth and powder application equipment. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Apply powder coating using various powder application equipment as directed by supervisor. - Adjust equipment to maintain required thickness of powder application. - Prepare surfaces of parts for powder application by using various methods; i.e., cleaning, sanding, masking, caulking, etc. - Load and unload parts. - Maintain and clean paint booth and powder application equipment. - Maintain quality, safety and productivity. - Maintain clean and neat work area. - Report labor and job data accurately. - Perform other jobs within the department or plant as required by supervision. WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequently exposed to noise, odors, chemicals, dust and vibration. Typically requires the use of air tools and various powder application equipment. Hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes with metatarsal protection, painter’s air hood, respirator and gloves are required.
