Job Description Overview: The role will provide technical design input into proposing and detailing design solutions for upcoming pavement renewal schemes across the Connect Plus Services (M25) network. There is a wide range of pavement engineering challenges across the M25, and the need for safe, efficient and cost-effective design solutions is fundamental to maintaining the operation and performance of one of the UK’s busiest and most critical road networks. The role will provide opportunities for the individual to contribute to the development of pavement schemes, supporting design activities from concept through to detailed design under the guidance of senior engineers. The role will also provide the opportunity to follow through the practical construction onsite across the M25 network. The Pavement Engineer will be expected to provide technical support to engineering reviews with stakeholders and contribute to the development of pavement designs that consider safe, efficient and buildable construction processes.
