Mining Engineer

Job description

Your Opportunity The Mining Engineer will lead mine engineering for mining studies/projects of varying size and complexity, and at various project stages from initial concepts through to execution. This person may be required to work on several projects at a time and take on various levels of responsibility. Your Key Responsibilities: - Work with clients to deliver safe, responsible, and innovative solutions. - Lead mine engineering efforts, including directing other mine engineers/technicians. - Manage small to mid-size projects. - Work with resource block models to design mine access, mining methods, mine development, and mine infrastructure. Prepare mine development and production plans and schedules. - Estimate performance productivities and support the preparation of capital and operating costs. - Lead meetings and interface with clients, external consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, and/or vendors. - Participate in technical reviews. - Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers. - Supports the development of standards and specifications for the mining group. - Prepare technical reports.
