Job description

This position handles a diverse range of complex assignments within the pipeline safety department requiring the use of technical experience, innovation and fundamental judgment. This position applies specialized regulatory, system and operations knowledge in providing recommendations to engineering, operations, gas control, human resources and management to assure compliance with federal pipeline safety regulations. This position leads the development and maintenance of company operations, maintenance and emergency response procedures; public awareness outreach, damage prevention program support and operator qualification programs; and serves as a company representative during Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) inspections. Leads annual review process and management of change efforts to ensure Kern River's operations & maintenance manual is up to date and in compliance with Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration regulations.
