Probate Paralegal

Job description

The Probate Paralegal will work with our attorneys specializing in private client services, estate planning, and estate and trust administration. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to preparing and maintaining legal documents, coordinating with clients to provide timely updates and administering multiple estates and trusts with deadline-sensitive case management requirements. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of paralegal experience, with at least one year working on estate and trust administration matters. Where You'll Work: The Probate Paralegal is an hourly non-exempt position and will work full-time at our Sarasota, Florida office. What You'll Do: - Manage all aspects of estate and trust administrations including funding and administering subtrusts created under the decedent’s estate plan. - Prepare estate accountings for courts and trust accountings. - Prepare and file probate pleadings, notices and tax-related documents. - Prepare trust administration documents, including required notices under the Florida Trust Code and related waivers for beneficiaries. - Prepare asset spreadsheets in excel based on federal estate tax return (Form 706) schedules...
