Position Title: Unexploded Ordnance Technician III This job description identifies the major responsibilities of this position. JOB SUMMARY: Unexploded Ordnance Technicians identify all types of discarded military munitions. They locate, extract, move, and consolidate any discarded military munitions. Unexploded Ordnance Technicians prepare firing systems, inspect materials to determine risks, and transport demolition materials. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In addition to being able to fully perform all of the UXO Technician I and II functions, UXO Technician III personnel may: Supervise clearance/sweep teams; Supervise and perform the on-site demilitarization of munitions of explosive concern (MEC), and handling of demolition materials; Prepare an explosives storage plan per all applicable guidance; Prepare required UXO munitions response actions and/or range maintenanc...
