Our Facilities Technician II helps keep the Town of Erie’s buildings in top shape, from routine upkeep to essential repairs, ensuring our facilities remain welcoming and dependable for everyone who uses them. This role is under general supervision, performs semi-skilled and skilled maintenance and repairs, preventative maintenance and adjustments, and basic construction trades work to ensure that facilities are properly maintained to meet the Town’s standards. You also may have the opportunity to guide less-skilled staff in completing shared work assignments and assists highly skilled staff in the completion of more complex assignments. Duties will fall into a variety of trades, including carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, mechanical, fire and life safety, solar thermal PV systems, HVAC, and lock repair and more.
