Job Details Kettering Health Hamilton | Hamilton | Resource| 1st Shift Responsibilities & Requirements: Job Responsibilities: - Performs pre-analytic processing of specimens; collects specimens; accessions, labels and distributes specimens including blood samples by venipuncture and capillary puncture in all patient areas - Instructs patients in the collection of urine samples and tolerance test in all patient areas. - Other duties assigned Job Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years old and/or high school graduation or the equivalent. - Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent. - Phlebotomy or laboratory tech training program is preferred. Ability to remember and consistently apply all the details necessary to collect and transport specimens properly and to use the laboratory computer. - Ability to write or print clearly. - Ability to accurately identify patients and recognize any differences in spelling of names or listing of hospital numbers. - Ability to communicate well to and get along with patients and other hospital and laboratory personnel. - Ability to learn to use basic computer programs. - Ability to work under pressure. - Demonstrates responsibility to pa...
