The Fleet Safety Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day execution and enforcement of the company’s fleet safety policies and programs. The role focuses on translating company safety standards into operational reality by conducting field audits, monitoring real-time driver performance data, and providing direct coaching to the drivers and managers. The successful candidate will serve as the primary subject matter expert for vehicle-related safety, leveraging data analytics and telematics (Lytx) to drive continuous improvement in road safety performance and reduce motor vehicle accidents (MVAs). Ensure strict adherence to company safety policies, regulatory requirements, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Train, coach, and mentor new and existing drivers on safe driving practices, equipment operation, and efficient routing, reinforcing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
