This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Chief Inspector to be based out of our Glastonbury, Connecticut office with an interest in highway, bridge and rail engineering/construction. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and a part of a growing organization that meets our client objectives and solves their challenges. Your Impact: - Assign and supervise construction inspection team members. - Monitor and document all contractor construction activities. - Review and check inspector's daily work reports for correctness and accuracy. - Keep the Resident Engineer informed of field construction operations. - Participate in meetings and ensure the field staff is conforming to all health and safety standards. - Communicate with contractor's foreman and supervisors regarding work schedules and work operations. - Provide solutions to construction-related issues. - Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
