As part of that, there are requirements for the position to ensure that all Educators have an adequate background as well as a passion for kidney disease education. This job description provides an overview of the Educator position, which includes Kidney Smart Class Educators and Modality Educators. Background: Kidney Smart is a patient education program covering CKD education at no-cost to help empower patients to make more informed choices – no matter where a patient may eventually start dialysis and regardless of their provider, payor or employment status Role Description: Kidney Smart Educators should be friendly, warm, and welcoming in nature with a passion for CKD education. Kidney Smart Educators are ambassadors who promote the program when opportunities arise.
