What Drives Success: Under general supervision, designs, builds and repairs a variety of tools, jigs, fixtures, welding, brazing, and assembly fixtures. Responsible for guiding and training other tool makers. Analyzes specifications, lays-out metal stock, sets up and operates a wide variety of exact tolerance machine tools. Fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair metal working dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools. Modifies dies to conform to engineering changes.
