Senior Staff Research Scientist, Climate Resilience and Sustainability

Job description

Minimum qualifications: - PhD degree in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Atmospheric Science, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, or a related field. - 6 years of research experience post-PhD. - 2 years of experience leading a research agenda. - Experience in one or more specific areas of climate change (e.g., climate dynamics, climate impacts, adaptation science, energy systems, sustainable development, and machine learning applications in climate). - One or more scientific publication submission(s) for conferences, journals, or public repositories (such as Physical Review, AAAS, Nature and npj, etc.). Preferred qualifications: - Experience guiding, managing, or mentoring research teams. - Experience engaging with the broader climate research and sustainability communities. - Experience in interdisciplinary collaborations and translating scientific research into practical applications, policy implications, or products. - Experience with programming, data analysis, and computational modeling. - Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application to scientific domains. - Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to convey scientific c...
