Senior Commissions Accountant

Job description

The Senior Commissions Accountant is responsible for managing monthly producer compensation cycles, including the calculation and reconciliation of the compensation, payment related activities, recording and reconciling monthly broker expense and licensing fee journal entries and general ledger accounts and reporting, to ensure timely and accurate payments. The role will ensure that the company producer compensation payments are accurate and in compliance with state and federal regulations and internal policies and procedures. The role will also provide backup support, perform quality assurance verification and participate in developing and testing system maintenance and enhancements. - Performs monthly producer compensation calculation, reconciliation and payment trends, identifies, reports and resolves variances, creates commission invoices for payment, validate, distribute and reconcile payments. - Records monthly broker expense and licensing fee journal entries.
