Job Description: The starting pay is $20 per hour during the training period. Once fully trained and working independently, the hourly rate will increase to $22 per hour. (Fully trained refers to completion of training in the classroom and in the field.) Utility Inspection Technician: Responsible for checking gas meters for leaks and corrosion. This includes visual inspection and ensuring all required paperwork/data are completed. Meter Inspection Technicians will be required to report to their respective work area on time at the start of each shift. While on-site, the technician will be responsible for identifying any abnormal operating conditions along with accurately filling out all forms associated with the inspection visit (the form may be electronic or paper).
