Financial Aid Advisor Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): Bachelor’s Degree (foreign equivalent or higher. Two [2] years of full-time financial aid experience to include a working knowledge of financial aid programs. Experience interacting with students and their families. Experience with financial aid automated systems. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products or Google Apps. Experience presenting, training, and/or conducting workshops. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience advising students and or families on financial aid processes. Financial Aid experience in a SUNY or NY State University. Brief Description of Duties: The Financial Aid Advisor will provide direct financial aid counseling and customer service via telephone, e-mail/electronic notification and in person to students and their families regarding financial aid application, eligibility, awards, processes, guidelines and standards.
