Through a rigorous PreK-12 program and an asset-based approach, KIPP empowers students to discover their purpose and expand regional opportunities. Job Description: The ELL Teacher is responsible for teaching grammar and vocabulary and building bridges for students navigating a new language and a new culture. This position will work across grade levels K-12 to provide specialized English language instruction, ensuring our multilingual learners have the tools to thrive academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: - Instructional Excellence: Design and deliver scaffolded lessons in reading, writing, speaking, and listening that align with state English Language Proficiency (ELP) standards. - Assessment & Placement: Administer initial language proficiency screenings and annual state-mandated assessments to track student progress and determine service eligibility. - Collaborative Coaching: Partner with general education teachers to "push-in" or "pull-out," providing strategies to make c...
