Social Worker, LMSW - Community Health Network - ( 2602778 ) Description Minimum Qualifications: Graduate-level internship may be considered as experience - Master’s degree in social work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS: - Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Texas required Job Summary: Social Work Professional - Practice is characterized by independent decision-making and a reliable approach to holistic patient care. As a member of a patient’s care team, the LMSW coordinates and collaborates with other stakeholders both at UTMB and in the communities we serve. Job Duties: Advocates for patient and family empowerment and independence to make autonomous health care decisions and access needed services. Utilizes principles of human growth and development over the life span and assists patients in coping with loss and grief related to disability and chronic illness.
